Invitation to Participate – Summer School of Preventive Medicine (NAWA Grant)
Medical University of Warsaw

Dear Sirs,

On behalf of the Medical University of Warsaw, we are pleased to invite students of medical and health-related programmes at your institution to participate in the Summer School of Preventive Medicine, implemented within a grant funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The Summer School is an international academic programme focused on contemporary challenges in preventive medicine, including global epidemiology, infectious and non-communicable disease prevention, antimicrobial resistance, health literacy, and clinical communication.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive an official micro-credential.

The introduction of micro-credentials in medical education remains innovative and relatively uncommon, making this distinction particularly valuable.

The awarded micro-credential formally confirms advanced competencies in preventive medicine and global health and may strengthen participants’ professional profiles in job applications, competitive recruitment procedures, scholarship programmes, and postgraduate training.

Participation is free of charge.

We kindly ask you to disseminate this information among eligible students at your university.

Registration and application submission are conducted exclusively via the official website:
https://medprevsummerschool.wum.edu.pl

Recruitment Timeline

  • Deadline for applications: 31 March 2026 (4:00 PM CET)
  • Results announcement: by email by 30 April 2026
  • Programme start date: 1 June 2026

The programme offers both an online module (open to all applicants who submit complete documentation) and a competitive on-site module in Warsaw for selected participants.

We believe this initiative provides an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their competencies in preventive medicine, engage in international academic exchange, and develop interdisciplinary skills essential for future healthcare professionals.

Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming students from your institution to Warsaw.

With kind regards,

Prof. Aneta Nitsch-Osuch
Head of Department of Social Medicine and Public Health
