Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM)

The Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade is a joint venture of research groups from five institutes located within the Faculty of Medicine: Institute of Biochemistry, Institute of Histology and Embryology, Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Institute of Neurology, and Institute of Physiology. The main aim of the CMM is to adopt an integrative approach for investigation at the molecular level of therapeutic modalities for regulation of cell dysfunction and death in a variety of diseases. The idea of establishing CMM at Faculty of Medicine University of Belgrade was to increase necessary resources and perform competitive and up-to date research through integration of small, previously independent faculty research groups.
